A handsome Jacobean hall built by George Calvert, the founder of Maryland, USA.

Kiplin Hall was built in 1620 by George Calvert, Secretary of State to King James I, originally as a hunting lodge. Over the centuries the hall has been owned by four different families, each of which has left its own stamp on the impressive house, and many of the furnishings that they added remain in place today. The hall also has beautiful gardens and lakeside and woodland walks, as well as a tearoom.
